PhD Positions in Structural Engineering, AI, Digital Twins and Adaptive Infrastructure Resilience at Roma Tre University Roma Tre University in Italy

Roma Tre University is advertising two funded PhD positions within the FAIR project (Forecasting and Adaptive Infrastructure Resilience), hosted by the Department of Architecture.

The project focuses on predictive and adaptive methodologies for the resilience of infrastructure and the built environment under extreme climatic events. The two PhD topics are:

1) Multi-source data integration and artificial intelligence models for multi-hazard forecasting of resilient infrastructure.
2) Computational and agentic design of adaptive structures for architecture and resilient infrastructure.

Relevant research areas include structural engineering, architecture, artificial intelligence, digital twins, edge computing, sensing, numerical modelling, risk management, and computational design. The call is especially suitable for candidates with backgrounds in architecture, engineering, computational design, AI, structural monitoring, digital twins, or built-environment resilience.
