About this position
Predoctoral Research Contract in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Barcelona (Spain), based in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences.
Project: Decoding and Modulation of I2 Imidazoline Receptors: Modulatory Ligands for Alzheimer's Disease. The work is multidisciplinary and combines medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, and in vitro biological assays, with a strong focus on receptor modulation and ligand development for neurodegenerative disease research.
Supervisors: Prof. Mercè Pallàs and Prof. Carmen Escolano (University of Barcelona).
Eligibility highlights: a degree in Pharmacy or Chemistry with a Master’s in Organic Chemistry; prior experience in medicinal chemistry, synthesis, and in vitro assays is preferred. Research stays and lab/industry experience are considered an advantage.
