About this position
PhD Research Fellowship in Games and Interactive Digital Narratives at the University of Bergen, within the Center for Digital Narrative and the Department of Information Science and Media Studies.
The project focuses on game studies, digital narratives, player studies, and the player perspective on how players and player communities make sense of games and interactive applications as narrative experiences through playful participation. This is a PhD opening for a fixed-term period of three years, starting February 1, 2027 or as agreed. The position is located at the Center of Excellence in Digital Narrative (CDN), a research center funded by the Research Council of Norway, and the successful candidate will work in the Computer Games and Interactive Digital Narrative research group.
