PhD Researcher Position in Pharmacy and Health (Bromatology and Nutrition) – Valorization of Persimmons for Vinegar Sector Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança is inviting applications for an international selection competition for one initial level PhD researcher position in the scientific area of Pharmacy and Health, specifically in Bromatology and Nutrition. The successful candidate will join the Mountain Research Centre and contribute to the project "DiVina – Strategy for the valorization of persimmons for the vinegar sector," which aims to advance research in food science, nutrition, and the development of innovative approaches to persimmon utilization in vinegar production. The position is offered under a fixed-term public service employment contract for three years, with automatic renewal as per Portuguese law. The gross monthly remuneration is €2,351.53, corresponding to level 33 of the national remuneration table. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Pharmacy and Health or a closely related field, and demonstrate a scientific and professional curriculum suitable for the research activities. Candidates with foreign doctoral degrees must provide proof of recognition or evidence of having requested recognition in Portugal. Non-native Portuguese speakers must have C1-level proficiency in Portuguese. The selection process involves evaluation of scientific and curricular background, focusing on research output, applied research activities, knowledge dissemination, and experience in science management.
