About this position
Ghent University is advertising a post-doctoral position in Linguistics within the Department of Linguistics (Faculty of Arts and Philosophy). The appointment is a temporary 3-year postdoctoral role with a bench fee of EUR 1,500 per year to support research activities.
The successful candidate will devote at least 70% of the appointment to scientific research in their linguistic area of specialization, publish in recognized international journals and/or academic books, present regularly at scientific meetings, and collaborate with one or more research groups in the department. What's required

For non-EU degrees, an equivalence certificate from NARIC is required. Candidates must have at least one year of postdoctoral seniority at the time of appointment, be eligible to apply for an ERC Starting Grant in the 2027, 2028 and/or 2029 calls, have an excellent research profile with strong international publications and other research achievements, specialize in any subfield of linguistics with good collaboration potential in the department, show high methodological innovation, and have specialization in one or more languages taught in Ghent University’s Language and Literature programme.
