About this position

Ontario Tech University’s Advanced Networking Technology and Security (ANTS) Lab is recruiting a postdoc in AI, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and IoT. The position is supervised by Dr. Khalil El-Khatib and Dr. Li Yang, and the research environment is centered on cutting-edge work in machine learning, deep learning, AutoML, TinyML, LLMs, intrusion detection, anomaly detection, 6G networks, and adversarial machine learning.

The lab’s broader research themes include AI/ML for autonomous cybersecurity, digital forensics, UAV/drone cybersecurity, IoT security, EV charging systems, smart city infrastructures, and next-generation network security. The ANTS Lab is part of Ontario Tech University in Canada and has active research funding from agencies and partners such as NSERC, Mitacs, OCE, and NCC.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have a recent PhD (less than 5 years since graduation) or equivalent in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical/Electrical and Computer Engineering. A strong research background and publications in top-tier journals or conferences are expected.

Funding and terms: the postdoc is initially for 1 year, with possible extension based on performance. Salary is determined by background and suitability, and there may be an opportunity to teach up to two courses for additional compensation.
