About this position
Postdoc of Chemical Biology at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Chemistry, Denmark.
This postdoctoral position focuses on chemical biology, synthetic organic chemistry, peptide therapeutics, protein modification, and peptide medicinal chemistry. The project aims to develop new methods to chemically modify peptide therapeutics to enhance and prolong their effect in the body. Two main research directions are highlighted: (1) designing novel cleavable linkages that activate a peptide when the bond is broken, and (2) developing methods to locally modify native peptides so they become more resistant to enzymatic breakdown.
The postdoc will carry out research in synthetic organic chemistry on peptides, chemical modification of proteins, and peptide medicinal chemistry, and will also have teaching duties. The position is full time and is open from 2027-01-01 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Applicants are asked to submit a CV, diplomas (Master and PhD degree or equivalent), a research plan describing current and future research plans, a complete publication list, and separate reprints of three particularly relevant papers. The application must be submitted in English through the online APPLY portal.
Deadline: 2026-09-20 at 23:59 GMT+2.
