The University of Luxembourg, a leading international research university, is offering a postdoctoral position in Digital Regulatory Governance & Policy at the Institute for Digital Ethics (ULIDE), located at the Belval Campus. ULIDE is renowned for its transdisciplinary research, connecting faculties and centres across the university to explore the intersection of technology, society, and ethics. The institute analyses ethical and societal challenges arising from digitalisation and artificial intelligence, providing both academic insight and policy advice to national and international stakeholders.

This postdoctoral researcher will join a project funded by the EU HORIZON programme, focusing on comparative analysis, mapping, and benchmarking of policies related to artificial intelligence and their impact on cultural and creative sectors globally. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary research and policy development in a rapidly evolving digital landscape, with a strong emphasis on regulatory governance, digital technology, and cultural policy.

Applicants should possess a PhD in law, political science, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in both theoretical and applied regulatory governance. Experience with digital policy issues in the cultural/heritage and creative sectors, such as labour law or intellectual property, is considered an asset. An excellent publication record and prior experience in applied regulatory research, policy analysis, benchmarking, and advisory are highly desirable. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of French or other languages is advantageous.
