About this position

Postdoctoral position at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in estimation and control of hybrid dynamical systems, with applications to buildings and robots.

The Dynamics & Control section in the Department of Mechanical Engineering is recruiting one postdoc to work on rigorous approaches for understanding and engineering cyber-physical systems. The research combines estimation and control theory, hybrid dynamical systems, machine learning, and generative methods, with a strong application focus on climate control and crowd control in buildings.

Applicants should have a PhD in systems and control and a strong background in nonlinear control, hybrid dynamical systems, and/or optimization. The post also expects experience with scientific publishing, programming in Matlab or Python, and the ability to collaborate with both academic and industrial partners. Fluent English is required.

The position is full-time for 1 year. Compensation follows the Dutch university collective labour agreement (scale 10) and includes salary, year-end bonus, vacation pay, and additional allowances/benefits. The role is based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
