About this position
Postdoc opening in chemical biology and protein engineering at the University of Delaware. Aditya Kunjapur’s group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study the chemical fate of non-canonical amino acids after incorporation into protein sequences.
Research focus: genetic code expansion, non-canonical amino acid biosynthesis, protein analytical chemistry, intact LC/MS, peptide LC-MS/MS, bio-orthogonal conjugation reactions, multiplexed genome engineering, and PTM enzyme engineering.
Ideal background: prior experience with molecular cloning and protein analysis is strongly preferred. Candidates with hands-on experience in bio-orthogonal chemistry and advanced mass spectrometry workflows will be especially competitive.
Funding / logistics: this is a postdoctoral hiring opportunity; the post notes that visa sponsorship is not available for the position.
