About this position

Postdoc opening at the Institut de Chimie de Clermont-Ferrand (ICCF, UMR 6296), within the EPURE project on wastewater reuse.

The project focuses on decontamination of water from pharmaceutical molecules and PFAS using inorganic fluorinated compounds. The successful candidate will synthesize materials in thin film and powder form, develop protocols to adsorb and degrade target molecules in model water, and monitor pollutants during the process.

Research will be carried out with access to ICCF experimental and analytical facilities, including XRD, FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis, electron microscopy, NMR-RPE, ICP, MS, and a plasma reactor, within the Inorganic Materials team.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Materials Science, Physico-chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry. The post calls for an autonomous, curious researcher with excellent English and strong skills in materials synthesis and analysis.

Location: Clermont-Ferrand, France.
