About this position

Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Population Health Sciences is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Health Informatics focused on AI for clinical decision support. The research program works with large-scale healthcare data, including electronic health records and insurance claims data, to develop and implement data-driven tools for clinical care.

The postdoc will join an interdisciplinary team of health informaticians, computer scientists, statisticians, and clinicians. Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree in Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Health Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Strong experience with EHR and claims data is required, along with programming knowledge in Python, R, and JavaScript. A strong publication record and excellent communication skills are expected. Two letters of recommendation are required.

Funding and terms: the position is funded by the NIH and Weill Cornell Medicine. Salary is commensurate with experience and aligned with the postdoc union collective bargaining agreement. The appointment is for one year with possible reappointment depending on performance and funding availability. Visa options may include J-1 and H-1B.
