About this position

Postdoctoral Associate in Multi-omics Life Course Research at Rutgers University (Rutgers School of Public Health, Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology; Piscataway, New Jersey).

This postdoctoral opening is for an interdisciplinary research program focused on pregnancy, life-course cardiometabolic health, developmental origins of health and disease, and the analysis of longitudinal cohort data. The project integrates epidemiologic data with metabolomics, proteomics, and other high-dimensional molecular measures to study pregnancy cardiovascular health, adverse pregnancy outcomes, placental biology, and later cardiometabolic disease.

The role offers training and mentorship in life-course epidemiology, pregnancy and perinatal epidemiology, and methods for analyzing complex molecular datasets. The postdoc will lead analyses, develop statistical approaches for omics data, prepare first-author manuscripts and presentations, collaborate with epidemiologists, biostatisticians, clinicians, and laboratory scientists, and contribute to NIH-funded and collaborative studies as well as grant development.

Funding: 12-month fully funded position, with additional years dependent on funding and satisfactory performance. Salary listed at $63,968.

Eligibility highlights: doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, population health, or a related quantitative field by the start date; strong quantitative and epidemiologic training; R or comparable programming experience; experience with complex/high-dimensional health data; and interest in pregnancy, perinatal, and cardiometabolic research. Preferred experience includes metabolomics, proteomics, lipidomics, transcriptomics, longitudinal cohorts, repeated-measures analyses, and multi-omics integration.

How to apply: Use the Rutgers application portal linked in the posting and submit the required CV. A cover letter is optional. No deadline is stated in the post.
