About this position

Postdoctoral Associate positions in Regeneration Genomics are available in the Diao Lab at Duke University School of Medicine in the Department of Cell Biology, Durham, North Carolina, United States.

The lab develops and applies genomics, proteomics, epigenomics, single-cell multi-omics, and perturbation technologies to study how gene regulation and chromatin organization control cell fate, tissue regeneration, aging, and disease. Current openings span regenerative immunotherapy and CAR T-based approaches, transposable elements in aging and degenerative disease, and epigenomics, genome organization, and single-cell multi-omics.

Research may involve patient samples, mouse models, and iPSC-derived brain and cardiac organoids. The lab emphasizes collaborative, interdisciplinary work across stem cell biology, disease modeling, computational biology, and translational research.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field such as biology, genetics, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, immunology, or bioengineering. Experience in genomics, epigenomics, single-cell methods, stem cell biology, muscle biology, aging, immunology, gene/cell therapy, computational analysis, or animal models is especially valued.

The position is onsite. The lab is supported by NIH and Department of Defense funding, and fellows will be encouraged to develop independent projects, publish, present at conferences, and apply for fellowships and career development awards.

To apply, submit materials through the Duke Careers portal and email a cover letter, CV, three references, and representative publications/preprints to [email protected]. Applications are reviewed immediately and accepted until the positions are filled.
