About this position
The Murakami Lab at Yale School of Medicine is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate to study ribosome biology, RNA biology, translation regulation, and functional genomics. The lab investigates how ribosomes regulate gene expression and cellular physiology beyond their canonical role in protein synthesis.
Projects span two main directions: uncovering molecular mechanisms by which ribosomes influence gene expression and cell physiology, and developing/applying new experimental approaches to study ribosome function and translation. The work combines molecular, biochemical, cell biological, and sequencing-based functional genomic approaches.
This is a full-time, in-person position in the Department of Genetics at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, United States. The annual salary is $68,500 or commensurate with experience. Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in molecular biology, RNA biology, genomics, or a related field. Experience in RNA biology, translation, ribosome biology, molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, or functional genomics is especially desirable.
To apply, email a CV, a brief research statement describing scientific interests and career goals, reference contact information, and up to three representative publications or manuscripts to [email protected]. Questions about the position may also be sent by email.
