About this position
University of Florida is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate in the Laboratory of Stem Cell and Metabolism to study epigenetic mechanisms controlling adipose and liver metabolism, fibrosis, obesity, and metabolic disease.
The project combines molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, epigenomics, and in vivo approaches to investigate chromatin remodeling complexes, cellular metabolism, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The role is based at the Main Campus (Gainesville, Florida, United States) in the Department of Animal Sciences, University of Florida.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Feng Yue and collaborators, lead independent and collaborative projects, contribute to high-impact publications, and help develop fellowship and grant applications. The lab emphasizes mentorship, scientific excellence, and career development for academic and industry paths.
Required: Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in a relevant biological science, with a strong publication record. Preferred: experience with cell culture, gene editing, IP, Western blotting, flow cytometry, ChIP/ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, ATAC-seq, CRISPR screening, bioinformatics, metabolic biology, human primary cells, and animal models.
Deadline: applications close on 2026-10-25. Apply online via Careers at UF with a cover letter, CV, and three referee contacts. Official transcript and, for non-U.S. degrees, NACES evaluation are required upon hire.
