About this position

Mississippi State University is advertising a Postdoctoral Associate position in the Department of Chemistry for research in development of synthetic methodology and applications in natural products total synthesis. The role is based on the Main Campus in Starkville, Mississippi, United States, and is associated with the Lovely group.

This opportunity is well suited to candidates with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, natural products total synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, air-free chemistry, and related experimental and computational skills. Eligibility highlights: a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry is required, along with experience working under moisture- and air-free conditions and strong NMR interpretation skills, including 2D NMR. Preferred experience includes synthetic methodology development, natural product synthesis, and DFT calculations, especially for NMR prediction.

Funding: the position is a full-time, 12-month time-limited postdoctoral appointment. Salary is determined by the department (UC salary grade), and the appointment is contingent on continued funding availability.

How to apply: submit the application through the Mississippi State University jobs portal.
