About this position

NCI Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow in Genetics & Genomics of Pancreatic Cancer within the Laboratory of Translational Genomics (LTG), Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG), National Cancer Institute (NCI).

The fellow will join the Amundadottir Lab and work under the mentorship of Laufey Amundadottir to study the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying pancreatic cancer risk, especially inherited genetic variants contributing to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).

Research approaches include large-scale genomic screens, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, human pancreatic organoid models, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models, and functional genomics. Candidates with experience in genomics, computational analyses, primary cell models, or high-throughput sequencing are encouraged to apply, though prior experience in these areas is not required.

This is a research training opportunity for scientists interested in cancer genetics, genomics, and translational research, with dedicated mentorship and professional development. The post does not specify stipend, funding package, or application deadline.

To apply, visit the linked DCEG fellowship application page and follow the instructions provided there.
