About this position
MD Anderson Cancer Center is advertising a Postdoctoral Fellow in Genomic Medicine within the Wang Laboratory in Houston, Texas, United States.
The lab is a computational biology research group focused on the tumor ecosystem, including tumor cells, the tumor microenvironment, tumor-immune-stroma crosstalk, transition from premalignant lesions to invasive cancer, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. The project uses single-cell and spatial multi-omics, cellular imaging, immunogenomics, immune-informatics, and bioinformatics to study cancer evolution and improve patient care.
This is a postdoctoral opening for highly motivated candidates with a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, biostatistics, and related areas. Applicants should have a PhD and experience with R, Python or another scripting language, Unix/Linux, and preferably single-cell/spatial omics analysis and high-performance computing. Knowledge of cancer biology, immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology is also preferred, along with a strong publication record and excellent communication skills.
Interested applicants should email a cover letter, CV, and three referees to Dr. Linghua Wang at [email protected] with the specified subject line. The post does not list a deadline or funding package.
