About this position

Postdoctoral Fellow opportunity in Imaging Physics and Radiation Detection at the Molecular Imaging Branch, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health. Applicants should hold a recent Ph.D. or equivalent in physics or engineering (electrical or biomedical). Strong experience is expected in radiation transport physics, radiation detectors, photosensors (SiPMs, MCP-PMTs), high-speed electronics, data acquisition, and programming (C/C++, ROOT, Python, LabVIEW, Matlab). Monte Carlo simulation experience is especially important, and familiarity with GEANT4, TOPAS, GATE, AI, or neural networks is highly desirable.

Funding includes a starting stipend of $67,200. The initial appointment is for one year starting October 1, 2026, with extension possible depending on performance and available funds.
