About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow position in neurotrophin signaling and Trk receptor signaling at the National Cancer Institute / National Institutes of Health, working with the Mouse Cancer Genetics Program under Lino Tessarollo.
The project focuses on the molecular characterization of Trk receptor signaling, with research interests in the biology of neurotrophins and Trk receptor function using both in vitro and in vivo approaches. The group is especially interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying physiological functions of Trk receptors and identifying new signaling pathways activated by these receptors.
This is a full-time, in-person training position in Frederick, Maryland, United States. The appointment includes a starting stipend of $68,544. The post states that U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is not required.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent or M.D. or equivalent. Preferred preparation includes a background in neurobiology and/or physiology, plus basic expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, immunohistochemistry, biochemistry, and imaging. Experience in electrophysiology is especially encouraged. Strong interest in cell signaling and strong oral/written communication skills are also required.
