About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Nursing, for a six-month research appointment in Hong Kong.
The project is “Joint research centre for primary health care”, with a strong focus on Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, and Behavioural Sciences. The appointee will design, coordinate, and implement intervention studies, including randomised controlled trials, pragmatic studies, implementation studies, and community-based health programmes. The role also includes programme evaluation, data collection planning, quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, manuscript preparation, grant application support, and liaison with community partners and healthcare/social service stakeholders.
Eligibility highlights: a doctoral degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or a related discipline; no more than five years of post-qualification experience; experience in intervention studies and community health/primary healthcare; strong publication record; excellent English; and strong organisational and communication skills. Preference is given to candidates with project management, grant preparation, programme evaluation, implementation science experience, and Cantonese and/or Putonghua proficiency.

What's required
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification, and have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application. Required experience includes intervention studies, especially randomised controlled trials, pragmatic trials, implementation studies or community-based intervention programmes; community health, primary healthcare, health-social collaboration, integrated care or community-based health promotion; working with community organisations, NGOs, healthcare providers, social service agencies or other external stakeholders; quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and data analysis; and preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. Applicants should have a strong publication record, excellent written and spoken English, and strong organisational, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills. Preference is given to candidates with research project management, grant preparation, programme evaluation or implementation science experience, and Cantonese and/or Putonghua proficiency.
