York University is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow in Statistics / Biostatistics for a newly funded project supported by the 2026 Banting-CANSSI Discovery Award in Biostatistics.

The project develops novel statistical and AI methods to integrate wearable sensor data with multi-omics data for biomedical discovery. The research will combine continuous physiological signals such as heart rate, sleep, and activity from wearable devices with genetic and molecular data to better understand hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS) and related complex disorders.

Ideal applicants should hold a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Strong preparation in statistical methodology, machine learning, or computational statistics is expected, along with programming experience in R and/or Python and an interest in complex biomedical data analysis.

The position offers a competitive salary, an initial one-year appointment, and the possibility of extension subject to funding. The research environment is collaborative and interdisciplinary, with opportunities to work alongside clinicians and biomedical researchers and to publish high-impact methodological work.
