About this position
The Quantum New Mexico Institute (QNM-I) at the University of New Mexico is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in theoretical quantum information science as part of the National Science Foundation’s Focused Research Hub in Theoretical Physics (FRHTP).
QNM-I is an interdisciplinary quantum information science center with participating faculty from physics & astronomy, chemistry, electrical & computer engineering, and computer science. Research areas include quantum computation, control, measurement, communication, and simulation. Fellows will have the opportunity to pursue independent research, collaborate with QNM-I faculty, and interact with researchers at partner institutions such as Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Honeywell Quantum Solutions, and collaborators in the Q-SEnSE and QSA centers.
The position is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. The initial appointment is for two years with the possibility of extension to a third year. The salary is $80,958 per year plus benefits, along with a substantial travel/expenses stipend.
