About this position

Postdoctoral Fellow position in Alzheimer’s disease, the noradrenergic system, and multimodal neuroimaging at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging (MGH / Harvard Medical School).

The project in Dr. Heidi Jacobs’ lab focuses on how the locus coeruleus-noradrenergic system contributes to tau progression and cognitive decline. The research combines cognitive computational modeling with multimodal imaging including sMRI, fMRI, MRS, and PET, plus pupillometry, dynamic causal modeling (DCM), and reinforcement learning.

Applicants should have a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, Computational Modeling, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Strong experience with neuroimaging and computational approaches is expected, especially linking models to in vivo human neuroimaging in neurodegenerative contexts. Skills in Python or MATLAB, signal processing, and scientific communication are highlighted.

The environment is described as multidisciplinary, with mentorship, professional development, conference opportunities, and joint appointments at MGH and Harvard Medical School. The start date is negotiable.

To apply, send a CV, research statement, and 3 references to Dr. Heidi Jacobs at [email protected].
