About this position
Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering is recruiting for Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate positions (full-time or part-time) on a project titled “Development of new orthodontic archwire materials and corresponding customized manufacturing technology.”
The project is centered on materials science and engineering, with emphasis on mechanical testing, additive manufacturing, metals and alloys, and the biocapability properties of shape memory alloys. The appointees will assist the project leader in research and development related to orthodontic archwire materials and customized manufacturing methods.
Eligibility differs by role: Postdoctoral Fellow applicants should hold a doctoral degree (or equivalent) and have no more than five years of post-qualification experience. Research Associate applicants should hold a Master’s degree or a good honours degree plus at least three years of research/relevant work experience. A strong background in the listed technical areas is required for both posts.
For full-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package is offered. For part-time appointments, the hourly rates are HK$385 for Postdoctoral Fellow and HK$181 for Research Associate.
