The project aims to develop artificial intelligence systems to predict infection risk in kidney transplant recipients and to build a clinical decision support tool. The research sits at the intersection of computer science, medical science, and healthcare innovation, with an emphasis on deep learning, data science, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), and LoRA.

The position is based at ICMC-USP with international collaboration and the possibility of a research exchange at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. The fellowship offers BRL 12,570 per month, along with research contingency funds, relocation allowance, maternity/paternity leave, and reimbursement of social security contributions. The duration is up to 42 months.

The selected postdoctoral researcher will develop and evaluate AI models, prepare and harmonize clinical datasets, integrate models into a clinical decision support environment, collaborate across disciplines, and disseminate results through scientific publications.

Eligibility requires a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field, awarded in 2018 or later. Applicants should have experience in deep learning and data science, strong programming skills, fluency in spoken and written English, and a results-oriented mindset with independence and initiative.

Applications must be submitted by 20 August 2026. Candidates should email their Lattes CV or equivalent academic CV to [email protected] with the subject line “Selection-POSDOC”. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview via Google Meet.
