This postdoctoral position centers on developing and implementing advanced models for estimating and predicting the yields of targeted crops across Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing production data, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary project team, and valorizing data through review publications. Key responsibilities include developing simulation models using secondary data sources and on-farm trials, conducting spatial analyses to predict yields at various scales, and contributing to the overarching goals of the research project. The fellow will also supervise master’s and doctoral students and is expected to publish research findings in high-impact journals.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in agronomy, modeling, biostatistics, or a closely related field. Essential qualifications include documented expertise in geospatial analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python.
