About this position

Mc Research Academy is sharing 1–2 postdoctoral openings in membrane science for sustainability at the Advanced Membranes Lab, Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry, University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada).

The research projects include: enhanced reverse osmosis membranes for brine management; monovalent-selective cation exchange membranes for Na⁺/Mg²⁺ separations; bipolar membranes for acid/base regeneration from salt wastes; and development of self-driving labs for membrane science.

Ideal candidates should have strong expertise in at least one of the following: membrane science, electrochemistry, polymer chemistry, or high-throughput experimentation. The post is on-site in Toronto, open to all nationalities, and starts ASAP with flexibility.

Duration is 1 year, renewable for a second year. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
