Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field such as machine learning, AI, computer vision, robotics, biomedical engineering, computer science, biomechanics, neuroscience, or signal processing. Strong Python and PyTorch skills, experience with scientific Python tools, Linux, Git, reproducible research, and a strong publication record are expected. Experience with markerless motion capture, multi-camera systems, OpenCV, GPU inference, Docker, and multimodal sensors is an advantage.

What's required

PhD in machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, robotics, biomedical engineering, computer science, biomechanics, neuroscience, signal processing, or a closely related discipline. Strong expertise in machine learning and deep learning, with experience in computer vision, markerless pose estimation, movement analysis, behavioural quantification, time-series modelling, or multimodal data analysis. Excellent Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch preferred. Experience developing, training, validating, and optimising machine-learning models for movement and behavioural data, plus strong statistical analysis, experimental design, reproducible computational research, scientific Python libraries, Linux, Git, maintainable research software, and experimental dataset management. Strong publication record and excellent written and spoken English. Additional desirable skills include markerless motion capture, AI-based pose estimation, multi-camera systems, 3D reconstruction, gait/posture analysis, multimodal sensors, Transformers/GNNs/state-space models, OpenCV, GPU inference, Docker, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
