About this position

University of Florida is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Developmental Network Neurobiology Laboratory within the UF School of Medicine, in collaboration with the UF Artificial Intelligence initiative.

This postdoctoral opening focuses on artificial intelligence, neuroimaging, medical image analysis, neuroscience, and large-scale modeling of brain MRI and neurobehavioral data. The successful candidate will work on projects involving structural and functional MRI, brain development, brain aging, and biomarkers for neurologic and developmental disorders, including autism, traumatic brain injury, diabetes, and epilepsy.

The lab is building foundation models from public and private datasets such as NDA/INDAR, HCP, ADNI, OASIS, and ABCD, with the goal of deploying models for broad clinical and neuroscientific impact. The role includes interdisciplinary collaboration and vendor-sponsored hardware/software engineering support.

Requirements: Ph.D. in an appropriate area of specialization. Preferred experience includes functional MRI, functional connectivity MRI, graph theory, ICA, machine learning, DTI, MEG, multimodal integration, AFNI/SUMA, SPM, FSL, Freesurfer, UNIX/LINUX, and programming in MATLAB, R, C++, Java, or Python. Experience with children, especially autism, and other clinical populations is a plus.

Funding: Salary is listed at $63,480-$72,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

How to apply: Submit a CV, cover letter, and three letters of recommendation or reference contacts through the UF application portal. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
