About this position
Stanford University’s School of Medicine is advertising an open postdoctoral position in the Park Lab within the Department of Neurosurgery. The project focuses on cancer metastasis, with an emphasis on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive metastatic progression and tumor–microenvironment interactions.
The successful postdoctoral fellow will work on interdisciplinary research using advanced 3D in vitro models, including 3D cell culture and organ-on-a-chip systems, to identify mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets in metastasis. This is a strong fit for candidates with backgrounds in cancer biology, molecular and cellular biology, biomedical engineering, or bioengineering.
Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD or MD/PhD. Prior research experience in cancer biology, especially metastasis or tumor–microenvironment interactions, is highly desirable. Experience with tissue engineering or organ-on-a-chip technologies is helpful but not required.
Funding: the appointment is for 2–3 years. The post pays the Stanford University required minimum for postdoctoral scholars; the FY27 minimum base pay is $79,056.
How to apply: submit a CV, cover letter, and contact information for three references by email to [email protected]. The posting links to Stanford’s postdoctoral opportunities page for more details.
Location: Stanford, California, United States.
