About this position
The Institut Curie Research Center in Paris is offering a postdoctoral position in cell biology within the laboratory Membrane Mechanics and Dynamics of Intracellular Signaling, part of the Chemical Biology of Cancer unit (UMR3666 CNRS-U1339 INSERM). The lab is led by Dr Christophe Lamaze, and the project also highlights Dr Cedric Blouin's research line on mechanobiology and lipid nanodomains in JAK/STAT signaling.
The project addresses a key question in modern cell biology and cancer research: how plasma membrane lipids, membrane-associated proteins, the actin cytoskeleton, and dynamic structures such as clathrin-coated assemblies and caveolae work together to regulate signaling. The specific focus is the IFN-γR signaling receptor, its interaction with lipid nanodomains, and how these interactions are influenced by mechanical cues at the plasma membrane.
The postdoctoral researcher will use a combination of advanced imaging techniques and approaches to control membrane architecture and mechanical status. The work builds on prior publications and an ANR-funded project, and it is embedded in a well-equipped, strongly supported environment with French academic partners.
Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD in cell biology or biophysics, have publications in these areas, and preferably bring experience in advanced microscopy, membrane biology, and 3D model systems.
