About this position
The LaRINa Research Laboratory of Smart Grids and Nanotechnology at the University of Carthage (ENSTAB) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow for the STORE project, which focuses on the application of Digital Twins to smart energy systems. This project operates at the intersection of cloud architectures, real-time and embedded systems, and smart grids, with a particular emphasis on AI-driven energy system integration and the role of supermarkets as flexible prosumers. The position is part of the CETPartnership 2023 initiative, in collaboration with THI Germany and the University of Cyprus.
The postdoctoral contract will begin in April 2026, with an initial duration of 8 months, renewable up to a total of 20 months based on performance and approval. The gross monthly salary is 2300 Tunisian Dinars. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing digital twin architectures for energy systems, deploying solutions on distributed cloud infrastructures, developing and integrating embedded models for real-time data collection and processing, and contributing to the development of the LaRINa Smart Grids platform. Additional responsibilities include participating in research activities, scientific publications, project deliverables, and reporting.
Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field such as electrical engineering or computer science, with demonstrated experience in digital twins, smart grids, cloud architectures, embedded systems, and real-time systems. Application materials must include a detailed CV, completed application form, certified copies of diplomas and ID, and supporting documents for all claims in the CV. The application deadline is August 3, 2026, at 12:00 pm. The selection process involves online application review, scoring, and interviews with shortlisted candidates.
