Postdoctoral Position in Epigenomics and Transcriptomics for Therapy-Related Myeloid Neoplasms (t-MN) European Institute of Oncology in Italy

Postdoctoral position available at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO), Milan, Italy, in the team of Serena Ghisletti, Professor of Biochemistry. This opportunity is part of the EP PerMed-funded PRECISION-tMN project, focused on therapy-related myeloid neoplasms (t-MN) and the molecular mechanisms driving disease development, progression, and therapeutic resistance.

The project combines epigenomics, transcriptomics, and single-cell technologies to study patient-derived samples, with methods including scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and ChIP-seq. The broader project framework also emphasizes precision medicine, multi-omics analysis, biomarker discovery, therapeutic target identification, and translational oncology.

Candidate profile: applicants should hold a PhD in molecular biology, molecular medicine, cancer biology, biotechnology, genetics, or a related area. The post requires strong skills in advanced biochemical, molecular, and cell biology techniques, plus excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative abilities. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, scientifically curious, proactive, and able to develop independent research projects. English proficiency for speaking and writing is required.

Funding and duration: the position is offered for one year, renewable up to three years, within the EP PerMed project framework. No stipend amount is stated in the post.
