About this position
The Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is offering a two-year, full-time postdoctoral position within the ERC StG 2025 project QPROJECT – Quantitative projection problems in geometric measure theory, led by Dr. Damian Dąbrowski.
The research project focuses on the properties of orthogonal and radial projections from the perspective of geometric measure theory. The advertised postdoctoral role is intended for a researcher with a strong mathematical background and interest in analysis-related topics.
Applicants are expected to hold a PhD in mathematics before the employment start date. Relevant experience in geometric measure theory or harmonic analysis is required, and fluency in English is necessary. Knowledge of quantitative rectifiability theory or fractal geometry will be considered an advantage.
The position is based at the Institute of Mathematics PAS in Warsaw, Poland, and is supported through the Horizon Europe ERC framework. The offer is for one position and is scheduled to begin on 1 October 2027.
Applications should be submitted by email to [email protected]. The deadline is 31 December 2026 at 23:59 (Europe/Warsaw).
