Eligibility highlights: a PhD or equivalent in the subject area, very good English, and documented experience in programming and/or energy system modelling. Strongly preferred are skills in CUDA, HIP, SYCL, OpenACC, MPI, OpenMP, profiling/optimization tools, and experience with large-scale simulations and interdisciplinary research.

What's required

Applicants must have a PhD or an equivalent international degree in the subject of the position, with the degree certificate available before the employment decision. Preference is given to candidates who completed the doctorate no more than three years before the application deadline, unless special circumstances apply. Strongly valued qualifications include experience developing and optimizing scientific software for GPU-based computing platforms, CUDA/HIP/SYCL/OpenACC or equivalent programming, porting CPU-based CFD and multiphysics codes to heterogeneous HPC architectures, performance analysis and profiling, MPI/OpenMP and GPU programming models, work on supercomputing facilities, numerical methods for fluid flow/heat transfer/reacting systems, interdisciplinary research, teaching experience, independence, planning and delivery ability, and collaboration with external partners such as industry.
