About this position
Postdoctoral position in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Department of Industrial and Mechanical Sciences, Sweden.
The position is based in the division of Engineering Logistics and is part of the newly formed Centre for Security of Supply Research (CenSSUR). The research focus is Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Security of Supply, Critical Infrastructure Resilience, and private-public governance of critical supply chains. The project examines how governance mechanisms for security of supply develop across sectors such as food, transportation, and energy, using perspectives from supply chain risk management, collaborative governance, and social network analysis.
The postdoc will mainly conduct research, develop theoretical frameworks, collect and analyze data, and co-author scientific articles. Methods may include interviews with Swedish preparedness-system actors, surveys, and social network analysis. Teaching may also be included up to 20% of working time, including supervision of master’s theses and participation in PhD supervision.
Eligibility highlights: a PhD in logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field; very good Swedish and English; experience in qualitative research and/or social network analysis; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Additional merits include experience in preparedness sectors, crisis and preparedness management, critical infrastructure resilience, survey/statistical analysis, and publication in established journals.
Employment details: full-time, fixed-term for 2 years. Start date is 1 October 2026 or by agreement. The workplace is in Lund. The selection process starts in August, and the last application date is 10 August 2026.
