About this position

Postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. Longlong Tu at the University of South Florida, Center for Molecular Psychiatry, Morsani College of Medicine.

The project focuses on the neurobiology of motion sickness and the interface with metabolism, including neural control of metabolism in the context of obesity, nausea, vomiting during motion sickness, and chemotherapy. The lab uses a multidisciplinary toolkit that includes genetic mouse models, snRNA sequencing, neuroanatomy, optogenetics, chemogenetics, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, and molecular biology & biochemistry.

The successful candidate will join an active team with multiple ongoing NIH-funded projects and access to strong research resources for career development. The post is aimed at candidates with a recent Ph.D. (or expected soon) in Neuroscience, Physiology, Endocrinology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field. Prior experience with in vivo models, stereotaxic surgery, or neural circuit techniques is preferred but not required.
