Postdoctoral Position in Neurobiology of Motion Sickness and Metabolism

Postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. Longlong Tu at the University of South Florida , Center for Molecular Psychiatry, Morsani College of Medicine. The project focuses on the neurobiology of motion sickness and the interface with metabolism , including neural control of metabolism in the context of obesity, nausea, vomiting during motion sickness, and chemotherapy. The lab uses a multidisciplinary toolkit that includes genetic mouse models , snRNA sequencing , neuroanatomy , optogenetics , chemogenetics , electrophysiology , calcium imaging , and molecular biology & biochemistry . The successful candidate will join an active team with multiple ongoing NIH-funded projects and access to strong research resources for career development. The post is aimed at candidates with a recent Ph.D. (or expected soon) in Neuroscience , Physiology , Endocrinology , Molecular Biology , or a closely related field. Prior experience with in vivo models, stereotaxic surgery, or neural circuit techniques is preferred but not required. Applicants should be highly motivated and able to work in a diverse technical environment.
