About this position

The Ben Mamoun Laboratory at Yale School of Medicine is recruiting postdoctoral associates for research in antiparasitic drug discovery, with a focus on novel therapeutics against malaria and human babesiosis.

Projects build on recent discoveries of antimalarial and antibabesial compounds active against Plasmodium and Babesia parasites. The lab offers multidisciplinary training across parasite biology, host-parasite interactions, immunology, nutrient acquisition pathways, metabolism, chemical biology, and translational drug discovery.

Applicants with backgrounds in parasitology and infectious diseases, molecular and cell biology, drug discovery and pharmacology, biochemistry and metabolism, or animal infection models are encouraged to apply. The position requires a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree, plus a strong record of productivity and scientific accomplishment and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Compensation follows Yale Office of Postdoctoral Affairs postdoctoral compensation guidelines. Interested candidates should email a CV, a brief statement of research interests and career goals, and contact information for three references to Dr. Choukri Ben Mamoun.
