About this position
Two postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Bogdan Beirowski and Elisabetta Babetto at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, United States.
The lab studies axon-glia interactions, glial metabolism, axon integrity, and myelination, with projects focused on metabolic adaptations in Schwann cells and oligodendrocytes that support injured axons, as well as mechanistic studies of how metabolic perturbations in oligodendrocytes compromise axon integrity.
This is an NIH-funded opportunity with full fringe benefits and a starting annual stipend of approximately $65,000 (salary commensurate with experience). The positions are intended for candidates with a PhD in biomedical sciences, less than 2 years of prior postdoctoral experience, strong publication records, motivation, communication skills, and strong language and writing abilities.
