About this position
The Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (Inserm), in collaboration with the Deutsches Zentrum für Diabetesforschung (DZD), announces a call for applications for two postdoctoral positions in diabetes research. This France–Germany cooperation program aims to address the growing global public health challenge posed by diabetes, which is influenced by lifestyle, nutritional, environmental, and genetic factors. Applicants must have obtained a PhD within the last four years (preferably in Germany, but all nationalities are welcome) and are encouraged to submit proposals that demonstrate scientific excellence, feasibility, and relevance to the objectives of the host Inserm laboratory. Applications from women scientists are strongly encouraged. The selection process will be based on the scientific excellence of the candidate, the quality and impact of the proposed research, and the adequacy of the host laboratory environment.
The funding package includes a two-year postdoctoral salary ranging from €53,000 to €62,000 gross per year, funded by Inserm. This covers salary costs only; host laboratories must secure and document additional funding for project implementation, such as operating costs and consumables. Applications must be submitted in English as a single PDF file (less than 2MB) and include an application form, research project, CV, and letters of support from both the host Inserm laboratory and the German collaborator.
