About this position

The Center for Visualizing Catalytic Processes (VISION) at the Technical University of Denmark is offering several postdoctoral positions focused on the 'live' visualization of catalysts at the atomic scale. The research aims to answer fundamental questions in catalysis, specifically how single nanoparticles catalyze chemical reactions at the atomic level. Successful candidates will leverage advanced atomic-resolution electron microscopy and collaborate across multiple disciplines, including MEMS devices, 2D materials, nanoparticle preparation, catalysis, surface science, theoretical modelling, and data science. The goal is to translate atomic-scale insights into the understanding and design of catalysts for sustainable chemical processes.

The positions are funded by the Danish National Research Foundation and are based at the Technical University of Denmark. The term of employment is two years, with a start date of 1 July 2026 or by agreement. Applicants should have a PhD in chemistry, materials science, physics, chemical engineering, or a related field, and experience in electron microscopy or nanoparticle catalysis is highly desirable. The environment is highly collaborative and interdisciplinary, offering opportunities to make a global impact in the field of catalysis and materials science.

For more information and to apply, candidates should visit the provided application link and ensure all required documents are prepared before submission. The application deadline is 31 May 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for postdoctoral researchers interested in cutting-edge research at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and advanced microscopy techniques.
