Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Drs. Alexander Mankin and Nora Vázquez-Laslop at the University of Illinois Chicago.

The lab works on ribosome biology, synthetic biology, and antibiotic research, with a strong emphasis on the molecular mechanisms of protein synthesis, translation factors, ribosome engineering, and how antibiotics inhibit translation.
