What's required
PhD degree or near completion in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline. Candidates should have hands-on experience with electrolysers or fuel cells, including assembly, operation, performance testing, and troubleshooting; ability to design electrochemical devices or experimental hardware using CAD; experience with chemical process design, material and energy balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment selection; strong understanding of electrochemical performance and transport processes; ability to plan and deliver experimental research independently; strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Highly regarded experience includes scaling devices, electrode fabrication, membrane electrode assembly preparation, CFD or multiphysics modelling, process simulation or techno-economic assessment, and automated testing/data acquisition tools such as LabVIEW, Python, or MATLAB.
