What's required
Applicants should hold a relevant postgraduate degree, ideally a PhD in Neuroscience, Neurodevelopment, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry. Required experience includes human stem cell culture, good aseptic technique, neuronal differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells, molecular biology methods such as PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning and DNA sequencing, and biochemical/physiological assays such as cAMP accumulation, western blotting, and microelectrode array recording. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, record keeping, and project management skills are expected. Desirable experience includes differentiation of iPSC-derived neural progenitors into a striatal neuron lineage and bioinformatics for DNA methylation or RNA sequencing analysis. Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting PhD award may be considered.
