Postdoctoral Research Associate in Immunology at The University of Manchester (Oxford Road, Manchester, UK).
This is a 3-year fixed-term postdoctoral opening in the Hepworth lab, focused on mucosal immunology, ILC biology, and related interdisciplinary areas such as neuroimmunology, matrix biology, and metabolism. Essential experience includes up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in immunology, especially mucosal immunology or a related subdiscipline, strong technical bench skills, core immunological techniques such as multiparameter flow cytometry, tissue processing, ELISA and RT-PCR, and experience with transgenic animal models and/or in vivo interventions and disease models. Desirable experience includes emerging technologies such as omics, advanced informatics, spatial transcriptomics and imaging techniques, as well as cross-disciplinary backgrounds in neuroimmunology, matrix biology or metabolism. A UK Home Office License or equivalent experience outside the UK is desirable.
