About this position

Postdoctoral Research Associate opportunity in Microbiology at the University of Cambridge, based in the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry and the Reisner Lab.

The project focuses on engineering live cells to convert CO2 and feedstocks into complex chemicals, interfacing cells with light-harvesting semiconductors for semi-artificial photosynthesis, and developing biophotocatalytic and bioelectrochemical technologies for high-value chemical production.

This is a fixed-term 2-year postdoctoral position funded by UKRI Japan-UK and an ERC Advanced Grant.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related discipline. Desirable experience includes synthetic biology, protein purification, or bioelectrochemistry. A strong publication record is also requested.

To apply, submit your application online through Cambridge Jobs with a CV, covering letter, and publications list. Contact the supervisor at [email protected] for further information.
