About this position
Postdoctoral Research Associate opportunity in Oncology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.
The Guenther Lab in the Division of Molecular Oncology is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study the biology of novel therapeutic targets in pediatric bone sarcomas, with a strong emphasis on osteosarcoma, DNA damage repair, replication stress, ALT biology, and tumor suppressor/predisposition factors. The project uses genome-scale CRISPR screening, complementary chemical and genomic screening, advanced molecular biology, biochemical techniques, genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs), xenograft models, and in vitro systems.
Applicants should hold an MD and/or PhD or equivalent in a biological sciences discipline. Experience or interest in cancer biology, DNA damage repair, replication stress, ALT biology, and/or GEMMs is encouraged. The role expects strong writing and presentation skills, academic productivity, independent and collaborative work, project leadership, manuscript writing, grant contributions, and mentoring of junior trainees.
